Today I bring you a cover reveal for Lex Martin, author of upcoming book Dearest Clementine. Cover, blurb and excerpt below, as well as a contest!

TITLE: Dearest Clementine
AUTHOR: Lex Martin
RELEASE DATE: April 18, 2014
GENRE: NA contemporary romance
MODEL: Zoe Chait

Twenty-year-old Clementine Avery doesn’t mind being called bitchy and closed off. It’s safe, and after being burned by her high school sweetheart and stalked by a professor her freshman year of college, safe sounds pretty damn good.

Her number one rule for survival? No dating. That is until she accidentally signs up for a romance writing class and needs material for her latest assignment. Sexy RA Gavin Murphy is more than happy to play the part of book boyfriend to help Clem find some inspiration, even if that means making out…in the name of research, of course.

As Gavin and Clem grow closer, they get entangled in the mystery surrounding a missing Boston University student, and Clem unwittingly becomes a possible target. Gavin tries to show Clem she can handle falling in love again, but she knows she has to be careful because her heart’s at stake…and maybe even her life.

DEAREST CLEMENTINE is a stand-alone novel with two companion novels. This New Adult contemporary romance series is recommended for readers 18+ due to mature content. Look for the second book, DEAREST DANDELION, this June.

The laundry room is dark when we walk in, so Gavin flips on the lights. A row of washers and dryers line both sides of the small room. He opens up a washer and dumps in his basket of clothes.

“Gavin, why are you washing clean laundry?” I can’t help the laugh that escapes.

He drops in a few quarters and starts the machine before he turns to me, grinning.

“I’m helping you get in the zone. Come here.” He wraps his hands around my waist, and I let out a surprised squeak when he lifts me up onto a washer. I can’t believe he just picked me up. Okay, that’s a stupid thought to have. He did carry me home two weeks ago.

His grip is firm on either side of me as he leans down to look into my eyes. I lean back slightly. He’s so far in my personal space that my shadow is crowded.

“Clementine, I want to warn you.” His voice is husky and deep. “I’m going to kiss you, and you’re going to like it. A lot. But I want to be clear that I’m not going to sleep with you because I want you to respect me in the morning.” His mouth lifts up in a wry smile. “This is simply one friend helping out another. Okay?”

Wait. Is he serious?

He must sense my apprehension because he rubs his thumb softly across my cheek. “It’s just an exercise, to get you into your story. I promise.”

I laugh, embarrassed, intrigued, and a whole lot turned on by the idea. He smiles again, but this time it’s different. His eyes darken as his hands glide over my hips. My breath catches in my chest.

“Gavin, I don’t think—“

He rests a finger over my lips.

“I’m doing this in the name of academics. You need inspiration? You’re looking at it. Now shut up and let me kiss you.”

Lex Martin writes new adult novels, the sexy kind with lotsa angst, a whole lotta kissing, and the hot happily ever afters. When she’s not writing, she lives a parallel life as an English teacher. She loves printing black and white photos, listening to music on vinyl, and getting lost in a great book. Bitten by wanderlust, this native Texan has lived all over the country but currently resides in the City of Angels with her husband and twin daughters.

Book Review: S.J. Pajonas – A Steamy Storyteller

If there’s one thing S.J. Pajonas can do, besides yoga and knit, it’s tell a love story. More impressive is she can weave a love story so romantic and sexy through an iPad screen.

Told through both Lee and Laura’s point of view, Face Time is one of the most original novels I have read about letting go of the past and moving forward. It also focuses heavily on the scrutiny interracial relationships face as Lee is Korean American and Laura is Caucasian. Both Lee and Laura have dealt with difficult pasts and exhausting families. Their loves grows fast and furious, and the heat between them is enough to set your Kindle on fire.

The growth between these two characters is tremendous and beautiful. The main characters are in their thirties, established in life, and know what they want. If you’ve been looking for an inventive romance, be sure to check out Face Time when it releases April 25th (I was lucky enough to review a copy before release!) This is the first in her Love in the Digital Age series.

If you can’t wait for April 25th, S.J. Pajonas has two other novels out which focus on Japanese culture. Check out her website for more! J

How about a little #ChickLitLove on Valentine’s Day?

Today is Valentine’s Day. You love it, hate it, or are just indifferent. There is one Valentine you can always count on – BOOKS!

If you read my blog, you are aware I’m currently editing my New Adult Contemporary Romance called Pieces of it All. What you don’t know is I have also started a chick lit book! It’s on the back burner while I edit, but that doesn’t mean I can’t spread the “chick lit love.”

A few months ago I joined a group on Facebook called Chick Lit Chat HQ. It’s a group of chick lit writers to share advice, promote books, and just have fun! This year the group has put together a pinterest board featuring the titles of those in the group. You can view the Pinterest board here. You can pin the titles and click on the links to purchase their books. Many are on sale today! There are a lot of talented authors in the group!

Throughout Valentine’s Day, you’ll see the #ChickLitLove hashtag. Check it out, and follow these authors on Twitter and Facebook. If you have a favorite, visit that author’s blog. Many of the authors have been doing special blog posts all week dedicated to #ChickLitLove.

Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day, and read a great book!

Cover Reveal: Face Time (Love in the Digital Age #1) by S.J Pajonas

Today I am so excited to bring you a cover reveal for a fellow author and great friend. I was lucky enough to beta read this book, and am thrilled to bring you the cover for Face Time by S.J. Pajonas!

You may recognize the name S.J. Pajonas as this is not the first time I have mentioned her. She wrote Removed and Released, the first two books in her New Adult Sci Fi Romance series. But that’s not all she writes. Face Time is her Contemporary Romance novel, the first in her Love in the Digital Age series.

Here is the info regarding the book, with the awesome cover to follow!

Face Time (Love in the Digital Age #1)
By SJ Pajonas
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Age category: Adult
Release Date: April 25, 2014

After the best first date ever, Lee thought Laura was funny, intelligent, and impulsive; a whirlwind of bright laughter and happiness. Laura loved Lee’s sweet smile and the way he expertly filled in every awkward pause. He held her hand and then pulled her in for the most perfect kiss she’s had in years. What could possibly be wrong? Just the 7000 miles that separates them the next day.

Even though Lee has gone home to Seoul, Laura can’t stop thinking about him. What starts as an innocent text thanking him for their dinner date becomes something much more: someone either of them can’t live without. But Laura’s got a live-in mother going through a midlife crisis, and Lee’s stressful traveling schedule means they’ll be apart for some time. Life, family, and a complicated past also get in the way, and they’re both going to need actual face time to figure it out.

Told from both Lee and Laura’s point of view, FACE TIME is a funny, romantic, modern-day story about two people who connect across the world.
